  • Dr. Peter K Blinkilde , Graduate of Michigan State University 1982


    Dr. Blinkilde (seen here with three of eight St. Bernard puppies he just delivered by C-Section) is happily married to his wife, Karin, of 28+ years and has two boys Nathan and Matthew.  Nathan is a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from U of M and works for Boeing in Seattle.  Matthew just earned his Masters in Public Administration.  Dr. B. has worked at the clinic since 1982 and has been an owner/partner since 1984. Dr. B.  has a special interest in surgery of all kinds (especially orthopedics), English Bulldogs,  reproductive medicine and surgery, and in talking with young people about animal care and veterinary medicine from first grade through high school.  He especially enjoys the challenges that veterinary medicine brings.  In his free time he enjoys playing with his dogs (Abbott and Skye), taking care of his cats (Andres, Nils, Anna, and Ella), woodworking, staying involved in his church, and Board Chair of the Greenville Area Community Foundation (http://www.gacfmi.org).  He loves to travel with his wife and has had the pleasure of visiting many places all over the US and Canada with his family as well as having the privilege to travel to Israel and Rome.  Dr. B. especially enjoys the challenge of helping our clients as well as our four-legged friends with behavioral and medical problems.

  • Dr. Steven Edwards


    Dr. Edwards was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in the suburbs.  His decision to become a large animal veterinarian was mainly influenced by his experiences on his uncle’s farm.  He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science and Wildlife Biology degree.  He graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and also completed the Dairy Health Management Certificate Program.  Dr. Edwards started working at Town and Country in 1988 and became an owner/partner in 1991.  His hobbies include golf, basketball, playing the guitar, fishing, turkey hunting, and bird-watching.  His favorite meal is his wife’s spaghetti dinner.  He lives in Greenville with his wife Ruthanne, and two children, Ben and Hannah.  His family also includes two dogs, Becky and Chloe, two cats, Gumby and Phoebe, and three fish, Oliver, Patrick and Whiskers.

  • Brenda Lobbezoo


    In 1992 Dr. Lobbezoo graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She practiced in Phoenix, Arizona for three years, then moved to Greenville and joined the Town & Country Animal Clinic team.  She really enjoys being a veterinarian because every day is unique and clients allow her the privilege of being involved in the relationship they share with their pets.  Her areas of interest in veterinary medicine include feline medicine and geriatric care.  Some of her hobbies include playing the piano and viola, volunteering with the Grand Rapids Symphonette orchestra which plays at nursing homes and retirement homes, gourmet cooking, gardening, and reading.  She is active on the administrative boards at the First Church of God in Greenville and was a youth counselor for 7 years.  Her family includes her husband Roger, 2 cats, Higgy and Jacob, Charlotte a Border collie mix, Bailey a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, 1 cockatiel, 1 goldfish, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews who visit her to fish and play golf.

    Received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University and specializes in Farm Animal Medicine.  She and her husband Ned have a boy named Kaden.

  • Dr. Maureen Austin


    Dr. Austin and her husband Jeff enjoy their son, Jack. They also take care of two cats and their dog, Nacho.

  • Jennifer Bell , Graduated from Michigan State University in 2005


    Dr. Bell is our primary veterinarian at our Lakeview Animal Clinic.  She also works an occasional Saturday at our main clinic in Greenville.  Dr. Bell likes the challenges of veterinary practice.  When she is not working she enjoys cooking, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends (especially Doug).  Dr. Bell has three dogs that she takes care of- Dierks, Chase, and Red.

  • Dr. Pat Gaston


    Dr. Gaston first visited our clinic during an internship while attending Michigan State University Veterinary College.  He spent time in Pulaski, Wisconsin doing dairy medicine before coming to our practice to do the same.

  • Elena Scott , Graduate of Michigan State University 2003


    Dr. Scott enjoys socializing with people and the quality of life of our clients and their pets.  She likes the challenge of strengthening the human/animal bond and the relationship our profession has in maintaining that bond.  Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with Brian, their son Reed, and they enjoy taking care of their horses, donkeys, cats, and dogs- Abbalene, Wyatt, Levi, Que, Kapusta, Jezzabel, Zeplin, Sadie, Cogey, and Dia.  She also likes to ride, garden, bake, and do artsy stuff.

  • Dr. Mary Kinser


    Dr. Kinser enjoys the challenges of medicine and surgery and utilizing her skills for the betterment of her patients and easing the concerns of our clients.  Her husband Shawn is a local dentist and they are thoroughly enjoying their new baby, James.

    Dr. Kemperman lives with her husband Kurt and their daughter Clare.


  • LAKEVIEW ANIMAL CLINIC


    The Lakeview Animal Clinic is located at 117 E. Second St. It has been owned and operated by Town and Country Animal Clinic since 1989.  The phone number at the clinic is 989-352-6684.  The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am till 5:00 pm.  The clinic is closed Saturday and Sunday.  For emergency service call 1-800-310-1212 or the Animal Emergency Hospital of Grand Rapids at 616-361-9911.

    Jen is originally from Colorado and then lived in Alaska for 2 years before moving to Michigan.  She has always been interested in Veterinary Medicine and working with animals.  She is a member of the Mid-Michigan Working Dogs and the Indiana Urban Search and Rescue Group with her two Blood Hounds, Jed and Mae.  Jen graduated from the Belding Police Reserve Academy in June, 2003 and has taken many classes through the search and rescue group including, CPR, K-9 first aid, weapons of mass destruction , cold water and ice rescue, blood borne pathogens, crime scene investigation, wilderness trailing, urban trailing, cadaver, scent theory, and missing person behavior.  She also enjoys horses, gardening, reading, and scrapbooking.  Jen has two daughters, Ashley and Amanda, one horse, one cat, three dogs, and six rabbits.

    Cheryl grew up on a farm north and east of Trufant.  She went to cosmetology school and worked as a cosmetologist for 3 ½ years.  Then she stayed at home being a mom for 16 years raising her two sons.  She worked as a store clerk and then started working at Town & Country Animal Clinic in 1995.  She has always loved animals of all kinds.  One of her career accomplishments includes becoming a veterinary assistant with the help, patience, and understanding from the Town & Country Team.  Cheryl likes to crochet but especially likes having time with her grandsons.  She lives with her husband Ron as well as Sable, Charlie, Abby, Lucy, Dusty, and Blackie.  Cheryl would have many more animals if there were only more room in their house!

    Kendra enjoys the many facets of the veterinary hospital.  Whether she is helping in surgery, working with clients, or doing treatments, she likes doing many different things.  When not playing with her dogs Kahne and Hanna you can find Kendra rooting on her favorite Nascar and Sprint drivers.

    Molly is passionate about people and animals so what better place to be than at Town and Country.  She is married to Chad and has two children, Kaylee and Brian.  She likes to play with their dog, Duke.  She enjoys learning new things and likes the variety of pets that we see and the many ways in which we can help pets.

    Mary was born and raised in Grand Rapids.  Her educational experiences include some college classes and many job related seminars.  She has over 30 years experience in secretarial work, telecommunications, finance, customer service, manufacturing, and health care.  Mary's hobbies include reading, gardening, watching movies, and playing computer games.  She has two sons, one daughter, four grandchildren, and three dogs (Rufus, Buddy, and Molly).

    Lori has a certificate in Business/Office Education and worked as a credit union teller, accounts receivable personnel, and a substitute teacher’s aide for Greenville and Central Montcalm Public Schools. She was also a full-time mom for several years before coming to work at Town and Country Animal Clinic.  Lori enjoys scrapbooking and photography but also enjoys reading, gardening, collecting ink pens, crocheting, nutrition/natural remedies, and spending time with her family. Lori enjoys her pets Sam, Duke, Hunter, and Freddy.  She and her husband Paul have three children, Jared, Beth, and John.  Lori enjoys being helpful to our clients and doing her best to make their lives and those of their pets a little easier.

    Jackie grew up on a dairy farm and quickly became familiar with large animals.  She enjoys animals of all sizes, which has made her job at Town and Country Animal Clinic fun and interesting.  Walking, going to movies, and spending time outside with her children are Jackie's favorite activities.  Jackie has two boys who keep her busy and happy.  They each own their own dog, a black lab and a boxer.

    Sally grew up on a small dairy farm near Rockford, Michigan and later owned and operated a 100 cow dairy farm near Ionia, Michigan with her husband, John.  She has been married to John since 1960 and they have 5 children; Larry, John, Lynn, Mark, and Marcie.  Sally’s hobbies include rug weaving, gardening, camping, fishing, and collecting children’s antique cap guns, holsters, and toy rifles.  Sally and John currently own a stray cat they took in named  Rover.  She likes the fact that time at Town and Country is never boring and that her coworkers are her friends.

    Erica is married to Chad and they have a daughter Lauren.  They also have a dog named Eli and a cat named Emerson.  Erica likes to stay busy and truly enjoys the Health Care Team at Town and Country.  She loves seeing all the puppies that come through our doors.  Erica also enjoys scrapbooking and spending all the time she can with Lauren.
